BUILDING MAVERICK CHAMPIONS
CMU FOOTBALL FACILITY
From Summer 2026 to Fall 2027, Colorado Mesa University will invest in Maverick Football by making several additions and improvements to Stocker Stadium.
This facility is a partnership with the City of Grand Junction, designed to maintain the historical importance of the Lincoln Park Barn and Stocker Stadium. Although the facility will be branded as CMU’s stadium, it will continue to host local high school competitions, now with CMU staffing and support.
A NEW ERA OF MAVERICK FOOTBALL
CMU will transform Stoker Stadium by constructing a new end zone building to house the CMU Football program. The building will include coaches’ offices, meeting and film rooms, dedicated locker rooms and an athletic training room. There will be a new hospitality party deck, offering premium gameday experiences and a location for special events. Additionally, the project includes a new videoboard along North Ave. and a modernized weight room inside the Lincoln Park Barn.
